About Curriculum Services

Curriculum Services is the leader in educational services. We offer a variety of educational programs for charter, private, and parochial schools as an alternative to limiting or eliminating conventional school programs.

Curriculum Services was established in 1980 and was designed to be an “all-in-one” physical education program. Over the years we found the need to offer even more for our clients, so to fulfill the schools' and students' ever changing needs, the S.H.A.P.E. program was expanded to offer even more.

The S.H.A.P.E. Program is unique in its approach to education. When a S.H.A.P.E. Program is adopted by a school, it receives support from everyone involved. The school, S.H.A.P.E. instructors, students, and parents all take part in making the S.H.A.P.E. programs a success. Throughout the school year, each student's performance is evaluated, and, when needed, additional educational activities are provided. This ensures as much emphasis is placed on the S.H.A.P.E. Program as is on other school subject areas.
Curriculum Services has designed four distinct educational programs and, as needs require, it will continue to offer more. These programs currently include: Physical Education, General Music, Computer Education, and Art Education. We've found that more times than not, these four key areas of education are affected the most because of budget constraints. Each S.H.A.P.E. Program has been meticulously designed to enhance a student's understanding in each of these areas, while relieving your educational facility of these responsibilities.
Each of the S.H.A.P.E. Programs provide three main features which ensures success. First, all of the S.H.A.P.E. Programs provide a degreed and trained, qualified instructor for grades K through 8. S.H.A.P.E. Instructors are of the highest caliber. Not only are they degreed and trained to teach grades K through 8, they are also required to attend periodic S.H.A.P.E. workshops to ensure their teaching skills are always at their peak. Each S.H.A.P.E. instructor is trained to be a role model for students. Through a combination of individual and group instruction, S.H.A.P.E. Instructors strive to develop the whole child morally, socially, and cognitively.
Second, a comprehensive curriculum, which meets both state and diocesan standards, has been designed for each S.H.A.P.E. Program It meticulously outlines activities and time lines for each and every activity. This detailed curriculum has been designed in such a way that each step builds on the previous. The curriculum is combined with parent demonstrations and periodic evaluations. This makes for a complete and comprehensive program for any school. Students not only learn the subject matter, but they also learn to interact responsibly with S.H.A.P.E. Instructors and other students, while at the same time build their self-confidence as the course progresses. There's no other outside educational program that offers this.
The third and final tier of the S.H.A.P.E. Program is equipment. Each S.H.A.P.E. Program comes with its own sports equipment, music equipment, support software, and art supplies, so there's no additional hidden expense for your school to incur later. And, all S.H.A.P.E. equipment is manufactured or stored at our facility, so you can get started right away.
