is S.H.A.P.E. -Art Education? |
 |
S.H.A.P.E.-Art
is our newest and most rapidly expanding division and was created
and developed in 1997. This comprehensive program has been designed
to meet national standards for the visual arts as proposed by the
National Art Education Association. This program develops skills in
a variety of areas including: painting, sculpting, assemblage and
photography. It also explores the use of color, shape, texture, line
and form; the appreciation of masterworks through experiencing representative
examples; and the understanding of relationships between history,
culture and the arts. Students also have the opportunity to show their
own artistic creations through student exhibitions. Equipment needed
to fulfill the curricular requirements is provided by Curriculum Services
and basic consumables are provided by the school. |
